Getting started with Nimbent

Use this checklist to set up the app, create your first operating records, and make sure support can help quickly if something goes wrong.

1. Create your account

  1. Open Nimbent on iOS or Android.
  2. Sign in with Google or create an account with email and password.
  3. Allow the permissions you need for your workflow, such as location for job/site context and notifications for reminders.
  4. If you are restoring a subscription, open the subscription screen and use Restore Purchases.

2. Add your aircraft and batteries

Create equipment records before logging jobs or maintenance. This keeps later flight, battery, and service history easier to connect.

  • Add each aircraft with make, model, registration where applicable, serial number, and notes.
  • Add each battery separately so battery cycles and service notes do not get mixed together.
  • Record purchase dates, firmware notes, and inspection details when available.

3. Create your first job

  1. Open Jobs and select New Job.
  2. Add the client, job title, site or landmark, planned date, and operational notes.
  3. Attach checklists, client instructions, or supporting notes that are useful for the work.
  4. Update the job as work moves from scheduled to completed.

4. Record a flight

Nimbent supports manual flight records on iOS and Android. Supported imports may be available where the operating system and source app provide file access.

  1. Open Logbook and add a new flight record.
  2. Select the aircraft, battery, job, location, date, duration, and crew notes.
  3. Add weather, incident, checklist, or attachment details where relevant.
  4. Save the record and review it from the job, aircraft, or logbook views.

5. Keep maintenance records current

Use maintenance entries to document inspections, repairs, firmware notes, battery notes, and other work performed on the equipment.

  • Log maintenance as soon as it is completed.
  • Add notes and next service dates that help explain the work.
  • Review battery and aircraft history before higher-risk or client-critical jobs.
